Shante Paradigm
SHANTÉ PARADIGM is a Brooklyn-based emcee, singer, poet, writer, activist and scholar. She has been featured at CBs Gallery, H.E.R.E. Theater, The Knitting Factory, Galapagos Art Space, Bowery Poetry Club,Nuyorican Poets Café, among many other art and Phat Family Records (www.phatfamily.org) from 2003-2006.
Since 2006, Paradigm solely produced the Peace Out East festival, combining artistic and scholarly pursuits, and hosted the festival to New York University. for now, the festival is on hiatus while Paradigm works on her album and completes her dissertation.
Shanté Paradigm is currently working on an untitled solo album with production by Tori Fixx, Patrick Rivers (Music Man), herself and others. She was also part of the hip hop-soul duo B.Q.E. (www.cdbaby.com/bqe), and makes solo music. In her spare time, she pursues her Doctorate at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in the Department of Performance Studies.
Paradigm loves to sing, rap, write, blog, practice yoga and meditation and hang out with her brothers and friends.
